Help

How the registry is organized and where common tasks live.

Common tasks

Find a property or owner
Use the search box at the top, or Properties in the menu. Search by street address, APN or owner name.
Work a case
Work queue lists every case that needs staff action, newest first. Filter by type or status, then open the case number.
Review an exemption
Exemptions shows pending requests with the checklist of documents. A supervisor approves or denies; the decision and reason go on the property record.
Find a payment
Payments lists the day's receipts and exceptions. Cashier lookup is the screen the cashiering counter uses for walk-in payments.
Send a letter
Letters and email holds the templates and the log of everything sent, by property.
Run a report
Reports holds the standard reports and the ad hoc report builder. Every report exports to Excel or CSV.

Terms

Registration cycle
The annual period in which owners register units and pay the rental registry fee.
Case
A numbered item of staff work, created automatically when a submission needs review (RR-year-number).
Exempt unit
A unit excluded from rent stabilization under the Charter, with its exemption type and supporting documents on file.
